Winemakers Notes

This wine is made in a fruit driven Pinot Noir style that is approachable young and a great wine for any occasion. Picked in 3 lots each undergoing a five day cold soak to aid colour and flavour extraction. After a fermentation of around seven days the wine was left on skins until optimal tannin integration was achieved. Approximately 30% of the wine was aged in French oak barrels to enhance the texture with the balance aged in stainless steel tanks in order to preserve the fresh fruity character. The blended wine was lightly filtered prior to bottling on 16th December 2010.

Wine Description

The nose is full of cherries and blueberries with some subtle minty notes. The cherries carry through to the palate with a wine of great fruit weight, fresh acidity and smooth tannins.
