Following on from the success of the inaugural Annieburn Riesling, the 2010 grapes were handpicked early in the harvest from the Central Block Riesling. The vineyard was monitored closely to ensure that the Riesling was picked at the early spectrum of ripening in order to create a wine that preserves the natural acidity with balanced natural sweetness. After settling the juice was racked and fermented in a stainless steel tank. Minimal handling ensured the wine maintained its freshness and balance. Annieburn Riesling was bottled on 13th August 2010.
The wine has scents of meyer lemons and nectarines. The mouth-watering palate is laden with flavours of late season peaches and balanced by notes of freshly juiced limes. This off-dry style has a natural sweetness that is precisely balanced by ripe acidity and with a generous length and fleshy texture.
