The Bannockburn Club

Olssens is one of Central Otago and New Zealand’s smallest and yet most prestigious vineyards and offers this exclusive Club to its customers.

The Bannockburn Club is designed to reward our best and most regular customers by providing a range of benefits not available to others. We are committed to ensuring that you enjoy the experience of being associated with Olssens and go out of our way to offer great benefits to ensure that is the case.

As a member of The Club you receive each of our new wines, as they are released and secure a 5% discount on these wines plus enjoy a substantial courier charge discount. You save $72.00 on 12 bottles of wine and receive a freight dispatch discount of $24.00 - plus receive a joining gift worth over $31.00.

You will also receive a 10% discount on all other wine purchases you subsequently make.

This is a simple and certain way of receiving a bottle of everything we make, and we will spread it over the year for you in easy, quarterly instalments – and at only $87.00 per quarter the cost is very manageable.

You join for a minimum of one year and get to try each wine in your own home. You can then decide whether you want to buy more, at a greater discount, before it runs out.

How the Club works

You get

a. At least one bottle of each wine released, usually delivered to you in 3 bottle lots, 4 times per year.

b. Five percent off the normal price of this wine plus a discount of over $15.00 on the courier charges.

You also get:

• A FREE bottle of “The Bannockburn Club” Chardonnay, and a jar of Olssen’s Chardonnay Mustard, at the time of joining, worth over $23.00.
• 10% off all other wine subsequently purchased [excluding special offers and   events].
• The chance every year of winning a member’s raffle, worth over $350.00 for a mixed case of that year’s premium wines, drawn at 1st December each year.
• The opportunity to enjoy a free Pinot Noir “barrel tasting” at our Cromwell based winery, accompanied by our winemaker. Each year members will be able to bring 3 guests for a free tasting of Pinot Noir wine directly from the barrel, simply by contacting Jennifer Parr [Tel. 03 445 1670, or Email. winery@olssens.co.nz] to make the necessary arrangements
• Gain preferential access to regional functions - where held, we will show off various current release and library stock wines and give guests the chance to pre purchase the premium Pinots [Slapjack Creek and/or Jackson Barry] at a discount, based on “barrel sample” tastings. So, beat price rises and obtain scarce wine stocks such as the highly prized Slapjack Creek. We will host functions in Auckland/Wellington/Christchurch and on the vineyard during August/Sept [first in 2006]. Club members are eligible to attend any of the events, so if you are in one of these locations and would like to attend, please contact us to register your interest, or fill in the form under the Events menu tab - only there 3 months prior to events.

You need to,

• Elect whether you wish to receive one or more bottles of each wine.
• Pay a once only $15.00 joining fee.
• Realise that after the first year, you can cancel at any time.

We will,

• Not disclose, give or sell your name, address, or any other details about you to any other person or organisation unless you specifically requst us to do so.
• Send you wine once every 3 months – [see the Wine Listing below].
• Substitute a wine of equal, or greater value where a wine is not avaialble for any reason.
• Advise you of any price changes in advance of sending wine.
• Debit your credit card for wine and delivery charges on the day of dispatch.
• Insure your wine against breakage and theft, to your door.

Wine Listing Price/Bottle – 5% discount, worth $20.99 - but at a cost of $87/quarter you are receiving an actual discount of $72.00 - plus freight discount of about $24.00

• The dispatch months indicated above for each wine and the mix of wines to be dispatched are indicative only. Wines will be dispatched based on bottling dates and availability.
• If a wine is not made in any given year, or if there is insufficient quantity for all members to receive one bottle, then the wine will not be included in the club mail out. In such circumstances we will substitute another wine of equal or greater value, than the wine that is not available.
